A Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregation in Indiana, according to materials in the Mission Match application, helped an endangered Muslim family emigrate from Afghanistan to Canada. The congregation befriended the father while he was a student in the United States. He did some work with the United Nations and as a result was targeted by the Taliban. His coworker was beheaded in the refugee camp. The church helped the family resettle in a safer location. In Mission Match follow-up comments the pastor said, "This exceptional program helped our congregation assist an endangered Muslim family in Afghanistan. It helped multiply our loaves and fishes so that God's grace was more powerfully felt."
